Mp4 hindi dubbed Elysium The year is 2154. Most of the world's population has been wiped out due to a deadly virus, and those who remain live an impoverished life in walled cities protected by huge walls which divide humanity into those with genetic modifications and those without. However, there is hope for mankind as an off-world space colony sends a plan back to Earth: it's called Elysium and will take only the most worthy people - not just the healthy - but also those who have demonstrated exceptional skill in their chosen field. Dr. Max DaCosta (Jodie Foster) is a genius surgeon who has been in a car accident and sentenced to life in an overseas work camp - only the privileged few with the means to escape such places are allowed into Elysium, and one of these is her childhood friend, the ruthless and wealthy industrialist, John Carlyle (William Fichtner). Carlyle would do anything for his old friend and demands that she be given a place on the shuttle - but this is not an option for Elysium's Secretary of Defense, Delacourt (Jodie Foster). She knows that if DaCosta reaches the Colony, she will find a cure for Earth's ravaged population. After a call from Carlyle's wife, Mary (Alice Braga), Delacourt orders the execution of the shuttle crew. During this chaos, DaCosta and Carlyle get into a confrontation that ends up being the main thrust of the story. This is a remake of director Neill Blomkamp's short film "Alive in Joburg", created for the 2006 South African Film and Television Festival. The original short featured Foster and Fichtner reprising their roles from "Fight Club" and was intended to be an Oscar campaign piece for DaCosta during her pre-Oscar campaigning for her role in "Panic Room". The film won the 2006 Audience Award for best feature at the 2006 South African Film and Television Festival. After a screening of "Alive in Joburg" at a 2006 press conference at SXSW, a producer for Columbia Pictures from New York City approached Foster with an idea to remake the short as a feature film. The actor refused, but went on to talk to Blomkamp about making it into a short film that would be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. The short premiered in Cannes on May 14, 2007, during Blomkamp's first presentation of his first feature film "District 9". The short was directed by Neill Blomkamp and it also starred Fichtner, Foster, screenwriter Matt Whitely, and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. Long-time collaborators Grant Hill and Mark Gustafson directed the film's score. Featuring an original version of the song 'Elysium', written by Hill and Gustafson. The song first appears in the trailer for "Elysium", on April 29, 2007. The film opened on August 9, 2013 to mixed reviews on Rotten Tomatoes with a rating of 50% based on 179 reviews. On Metacritic it received a similar rating of 46/100 based on 38 reviews. cfa1e77820
